As part of Ebac's DD Series of desiccant dehumidifiers, this model is ideal for reducing humidity in industrial areas in order to prevent corrosion, mold growth, and condensation as well as to maintain low-humidity conditions every day.
Use in Cool Temperatures
Ebac desiccant dehumidifiers are exceptional performers in cooler climates or when a low dew point, deep drying, or low humidity levels are required. The DD700 removes up to 231 pints of moisture per day at in AHAM conditions and operates successfully in temperatures as low as -4 degrees F.
How Desiccant Dehumidifiers Work
Desiccant dehumidifiers use a process called adsorption (different from absorption) to remove moisture from damp air and saturated surfaces. This process uses a Silica Gel wheel, plus an internal heater, to recirculate drier air throughout a room, reducing overall humidity levels and drying surfaces. Because they contain no refrigerant, desiccant dehumidifiers can operate in extremely low temperatures, down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit.
Extreme Moisture Remove Rates
Running in the high extraction setting, the Ebac DD700 Dehumidifier removes up to 231 pints of damaging moisture per day in AHAM testing conditions of 80 degrees F, 60% relative humidity. The deep drying setting removes 205 pints per day, and the high efficiency setting extracts 184 pints of moisture per day.
The higher the temperature and relative humidity, the more pints of moisture removed. But remarkably, this unit continues removing moisture in low humidity and low temperature conditions unlike a conventional refrigerant dehumidifier.
Rugged, High-Performance Design
The Ebac DD700 incorporates a PTC heater to ensure that maximum drying is immediately reached and constantly maintained while the unit is running. The housing is made from high-grade stainless steel, producing a rust-free product when used in the most severe of applications.
Spigot connectors allow for quick and easy installation. Plus, this model incorporates a high-efficiency patented PPS rotor. All desiccant rotors supplied by Ebac are washable and designed for high performance and long life.
